Refunds, Billing, and Purchase Policy

In the unlikely event you need a refund on a purchase made on our site, this page outlines our policies regarding that.

Payments

We accept various payment methods, including major credit cards, direct bank transfers, digital wallets, and through major secure payment gateways. To protect your financial information, all transactions are processed through secure and encrypted platforms.

Billing

Courses and Digital downloads are billed at the time of purchase as one-time, non-reoccurring sales. 

Booked classes are billed at the original purchase and are renewable upon request. You will be reminded in class two weeks before your purchased class load ends. You will also receive an invoice by email asking you to login and purchase more classes or to pay the invoice by bank transfer. 

Alternatively, you can sign up for monthly billing for a set number of classes. Billings will be automatically renewed until canceled. 

Membership billing occurs at the beginning of your subscription/membership period and is automatically renewed at the end of each period unless canceled. After each successful transaction, you will receive an invoice or receipt via email. It is your responsibility to ensure your billing information is up-to-date.

After Purchase Options

Our site features three main product types (Booked Classes, Courses, and Digital Downloads) for which payment is received and for which options may exist after payment. Since our site only deals with digital products and services offered online (over the Internet), no returns are generally accepted. Please see the appropriate section below to learn what options exist for your situation.

1. Booked Classes

In the case of booked online classes, whether one-on-one or group, learners (students) have the following options:

Reschedules

      • To facilitate classes, it is common for students to pay for classes monthly and/or several months in advance. It is also common for both students and instructors will have scheduling conflicts. 
      • In cases where a rescheduling needs to occur, students should utilize the site’s scheduling/booking functionality. 
      • In cases where that functionality is impossible to use, students should notify the instructor by Kakao Channel message or email to contact@englishsuccesscoaching.com
      • Requests to reschedule classes must be received by 6:00 pm the day before the regularly scheduled class.
      • When requests to reschedule are made after 6:00 p.m. the day before the regularly scheduled class, the instructor will decide whether to allow rescheduling based on availability. 
      • If the rescheduling is disallowed, the class will be charged against the student’s class balance and treated as a completed class even if no class occurred.

Cancellations

      • Requests to cancel a class must be received by 6:00 pm the day before the regularly scheduled class.
      • When requests to cancel are made after 6:00 p.m. the day before the regularly scheduled class, the class will still be charged against the student’s balance and treated as a completed class even if no class occurs.

Early Termination of Classes

      • If a student wishes to terminate classes before the end of the purchased classes, a refund will be offered for the unused class periods. 
      • The exception to this rule exists when classes have been purchased at a discount (i.e. 12 classes at 20% off). In such a case, the regular rate will apply for each used class and the remaining purchase balance will be refunded to the student. 

2. Course Purchase

Courses are sold as stand-alone, self-paced learning opportunities that may be completed over a short or long period of time. The policy regarding course product refunds is as follows: 

    • If fourteen (14) days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a refund, and your sale is considered “Final.”
    • If it is less than fourteen (14) days since your purchase, our refund policy is prorated based on the percentage of courses completed/viewed:
      • 50% or more completed – No refund will be given.
      • 25-49% completed – 25% refund is possible
      • 10-24% completed – 75% refund is possible
      • 0-9% completed – 100% refund is possible

3. Digital Download Files

Digital downloads are sold and immediately available for download and viewing. This immediate ability to consume the contents constitutes full use and can’t be undone, thus all sales are final. If, however, you feel that your download was not as promised, please let us know by emailing contatct@englishsuccesscoaching.com so we may investigate the issue and respond appropriately.

    • Downloadable software products, including:
      • eBooks
      • PDFs
      • Digital media
      • Worksheets
      • Any other digitized products downloaded from our site

Once we receive and inspect your request for a refund, we will email you to notify you that we have received it and provide the approved refund amount or rejection of your refund with cause.

If you are approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original payment method, within a few days.

Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received a refund, first recheck your bank account.

Then contact your credit card company; it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Packaged/Sale Items

We regularly offer items for sale or at promotional discounts. Where items have been packaged if a refund is requested, only the portion that is refundable based on the above policy will be refunded.

Membership Cancellations

You can cancel your subscription/membership or service at any time. If you cancel before the end of your billing cycle, you will continue to have access to the service until the end of the current period. No partial refunds will be provided for cancellations made after the billing cycle has started.
